Singer sets three records at swim invite

Kutztown junior Ashley Singer (Warwick) went on record-setting streak at this past weekend's Kutztown Invitational swim meet. Singer set the meet and pool record in the 500y freestyle (5:10.75), established a new meet record in the 200y free (1:56.01), and set a new school, pool and meet record in the 1650y free (17:54.98).

In other swimming news, Lycoming College sophomore Amy Bentz (Elizabethtown) took first in the 200y free against Susquehanna last week ... Tennessee senior Andrew Engle (Manheim Central) placed first as part of the 400 medley relay and second in the 50y free against Virginia this past weekend ... F&M junior Derek Nowak (Lancaster Catholic) won the 200y free and back against McDaniel last Friday night.
