Swim highlights -- Ship, Bloom, Cal, Haven, Hopkins, F&M, Bucknell, Rice

Several LL League swim alumni met in the lanes at the Shippensburg v. Bloomsburg dual meet on Saturday. For Ship, freshman Lauren Galbraith (Cedar Crest) placed first in the 400 medley and 400 free relays, freshman Jason Roth (Cocalico) finished second in the 400 medley relay, and freshman Whitney Moose (Warwick) placed third in the 400 free relay. For Bloom, sophomore Lauren Sterkenberg (Hempfield) finished second in the 400 medley relay and third in the 200 butterfly, sophomore Courtney Dean (Hempfield) placed third in the 50 freestyle, fourth in the 100 freestyle and second in the 400 free relay, and freshman Josh Chandler (Donegal) placed third in the 400 medley relay, second in the 200 IM and fourth in the 200 back.

LL alumni also competed in the Lock Haven v. California swim meet, as Cal freshman Jess Lane (Annville-Cleona) finished second in the 1000 free and third in the 200 fly and Lock Haven junior Becca Rhoades placed first in the 400 free relay, third in the 500 free and fourth in the 200 free.

Johns Hopkins sophomore Erica Pakkala (Warwick) placed second in the 200 medley relay and third in the 100 back and 200 free relay in a meet against West Chester and The College of New Jersey last weekend.

F&M sophomore Derek Nowak (Lancaster Catholic) touched the wall first in the 1650 freestyle (16:33.86) and the 400 IM (4:27.50) in a win over Ursinus on Saturday.

Clemson freshman Lauren Sindall (Manheim Twp) took second place in the 200 medley relay in a meet against Georgia Tech over the weekend.

Bucknell sophomore John Peterman (Penn Manor) finished first in the 400 free relay, second in the 50 free and fourth in the 100 free against Columbia on Saturday.

Rice freshman Anna Dogger (Manheim Twp) placed fifth in the 100 back in a meet against SMU last Friday.
