News from KU, Bloom, Ship and Drexel

VOLLEYBALL — Kutztown freshmen Austin Kinney (Hempfield) lead her team with 22 assists and nine digs to beat Messiah 3-0 Tuesday. Kinney was also named this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week.

FIELD HOCKEY — Bloomsburg junior midfielder Kelly Trevisan (Manheim Township) contributed an assist in a 7-1 field hockey win over Philadelphia University on Sunday.

3 former LL leaguers contribute to Ship field hockey record — the Shippensburg University field hockey team scored nine goals, tying a school record, and moved its record to a perfect 6-0 on the season with a shutout of Philadelphia University, 9-0. Freshman Kimberly Davies (Cedar Crest) scored three goals and one assist. Junior Natalie Grazan (Manheim Central) scored two goals and now has eight goals in six games this season. Junior Kendra Emery (Lancaster Mennonite) distributed two assists.

SOCCER — Drexel freshman Kaitlin Bond (Hempfield) recorded her first shutout as Drexel defeated Wagner in soccer action. Bond made a career-high six saves and lowered her goals-against average to 0.40.
