LL'ers named field hockey Players of Week in 3 conferences

Shippensburg senior forward Natalie Grazan (Manheim Central) has been named the PSAC field hockey Athlete of the Week. According to the PSAC website, "Grazan provided the offensive output in Shippensburg's 3-0 week, netting five of the team's 12 goals. She scored two goals apiece in wins over Millersville and Mercyhurst, but her most significant effort came against East Stroudsburg. In that contest, Grazan was the difference-maker, as she broke a 1-1 tie early in the second half to lead the Lady Raiders to a 2-1 victory."

Towson senior goalkeeper Christina Armer (Conestoga Valley) was named the CAA Player of the Week in field hockey. According to the CAA website, "Armer enjoyed an outstanding game against Northeastern as she faced 31 shots and made a season-high 21 saves in Towson’s 1-0 overtime victory. The Huskies applied tremendous pressure on Armer with 16 penalty corners but Armer was equal to the task. Her 21 saves is the best mark in the country by an individual. She ranks No. 1 in the CAA in saves (71), save percentage (.855), and saves per game (7.10)."

Temple junior midfielder Alli Lokey (Elizabethtown) is this week's A10 Conference field hockey Player of the Week. According to the A10 website, "Lokey supplied Temple's two game-winning goals in 2-1 victories over both Drexel on Sept. 20 and Lafayette on Sept. 24...also contributed an assist in a 2-1 win over Delaware on Sept. 22...game-winner versus Lafayette came in overtime...has posted seven points in TU's current five-game win streak, which is the program's longest since 2002."
