Local athletes perform in conference x-country championships

Lebanon Valley College junior Brittany Dukeman (Ephrata) placed 29th at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships hosted by Juniata College on Saturday.

In the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships, Shippensburg freshman Alli Rineer (Warwick) placed 16th, IUP senior Katie Farnsworth (Garden Spot) placed 22nd, and Millersville freshman Jessica Leddy (Hempfield) finished 62nd.

At the Centennial Conference Championships, Dickinson senior Emily Hulme (Cedar Crest) took first place in a new course record of 21:51 and was also named cross country runner of the year. Senior Abby Fergusson (Hempfield) placed third, while freshman Darcy McDonald (Warwick) finished fifth. All three runners earned all-conference honors.
